Final Year Project

Project Title

Control & Design of Non-isolated Buck and Isolated Forward Converter

Description

The project aims to regulate the output voltage of the DC-DC step-down converters despite the fluctuations at the generation end to ensure a maintained voltage level for solar cells. The project is carried out on MATLAB Simulink and LT Spice software. The obtained simulated converter model with control works efficiently in maintaining the output voltage under different test cases. The control mechanism is beneficial for the non-isolated and isolated DC-DC converters because there are supply variations in solar energy-based power generation systems and to cater to that, control loops are required to ensure desired output voltage.
